Nikon 70-200mm

The golden letters are inconsistent and the lens appears to be too thick around the mount. I am not even sure if this will fit on a F-mount – this it could definitely be a PS job.

Maybe after the release of the Nikkor 16-35mm f/4G ED VR lens, Nikon will deliver a full line of new f/4 lenses.

Fantastic lens which are used by pro’s and amateurs alike. Razor sharp and gives you fantastic Bokeh when you want it. VR function is a bit noisy but works. Focus is very sharp. Quality? time will tell…
Some people complain about outer area beeing a bit darker, but on DX format you will not notice this…
Customer Review: Beyond my expectations
OMG! This lens is purely amazing. I shot a Green Day concert at the Uptown in Oakland, CA. It’s a small club, painted black, with high cielings and very poor stage lighting. Even with Green Day’s extra lighting, it was still terrible at best. Due to Green Day’s photo policy, I had to shoot from the back of the club, from a crowded mezzanine…

The show started and people were jumping and moving to the music. I really thought the evening news would feature the show, but only because the mezzanine collapsed and killed 100 fans and sound crew. Luckily that never happened. Anyhow, about the lens…

The VR was amazing. I was shooting 125@f2.8, ISO 800, with the floor flexing below me and people bumping into me and getting great shots. I was instantly sold on the quality of the VR and its benefits.

The next night, I shot the B.B. King show at the Fox Theater. The Fox is always well lit. This is still the best concert I’ve ever shot. I shoot at this theater 3-5 times a month and still have not topped this show in terms of sharpness, clarity and color rendition. I used a 50mm 1.4 at the same show, same camera and was not nearly impressed as I was with the 70-200. Sadly, I had to return the lens to it’s owner who I thank for helping me yield the best photos I’ve ever shot.

Long story short, I dreamt of this lens for 2 months until I could buy my own. It’ll be here in 2 more days. Amazon also had the best price.
